By calling our Helpline, you will have access to a local Dementia Support Advisor. Our dedicated and experienced team of Dementia Support Advisors provide confidential advice and information that will help you to:

  • Understand dementia and what might happen in the future
  • Choose the types of services and support that best meet your needs
  • Stay connected to your local community by supporting you to take part in our range of wellbeing services
  • Make informed decisions about your care, treatment, wellbeing and support needs

Dementia Support Advisors may mention some of the following services, which have been designed to give you the right support when you need it. Here’s what is available across the area that Dementia Forward covers.

Craven

Settle – Tuesday, 1.30pm to 3.30pm, Time Together Tuesday, a drop-in group for people experiencing memory problems and those who support them. St John’s Church, Settle BD24 9JH. £3

Skipton – Wednesday, 1pm to 3pm, Welcome Wednesday, a drop-in group for people experiencing memory problems and those who support them. The Three Links Club, Oddfellows Hall, Skipton BD23 1ER. £3

Richmondshire and Hambleton

Richmond – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, 10am to 3pm, Richmond Hub Club. A day service for people with dementia. Please note this service must be booked in advance and is charged at a day rate. Please contact us for more information.

Richmond – Tuesday, 1pm to 3pm, Time Together Tuesday, a volunteer-led dementia-inclusive drop in group. Richmond Town Hall, Market Place, Richmond DL10 4QL

Northallerton – 4th Wednesday of the month, Northallerton Memory Cafe, 10.30am to 12 noon. A drop-in group to explore themes together. Northallerton Library, 1 Thirsk Road, Northallerton DL6 1PT.

Northallerton – Thursday and Friday, 10am to 3pm, Northallerton Hub Club. A day service for people with dementia. Please note this service must be booked in advance and is charged at a day rate. Please contact us for more information.

Harrogate District

Burton Leonard – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, 10am to 3pm. Burton Leonard Hub. A day service for people with dementia. Please note this service must be booked in advance and is charged at a day rate. Please contact us for more information.

Harrogate – Tuesday, 1pm to 3pm, Time Together Tuesday, a drop-in group for people experiencing memory problems and those who support them. Christ Church, High Harrogate HG1 4SW. £3 (£4 with soup). Carer’s Support Group runs alongside the cafe on the last Tuesday of the month.

Harrogate – Wednesday, 10am to 3pm, Time Out Together, an outward bound group for younger people with dementia. Please contact us for further information.

Green Hammerton – Thursday 10am to 3pm, Green Hammerton Hub Club. A day service for people with dementia. Please note this service must be booked in advance and is charged at a day rate. Please contact us for more information.

Harrogate – Thursday, 11am to 12.30pm, Singing for Fun. A welcoming drop-in singing group. Christ Church, High Harrogate HG1 4SW. £3

Darley, Harrogate – The first Thursday of the month, 1pm to 3pm, Dales Diners. A dementia-inclusive lunch club for people with dementia and their carers. £7.50 per person. New attendees welcome, but places must be reserved. Please book your place by the 25th of the month by calling 03300 578592.

Scarborough, Whitby, Ryedale
