We are delighted to announce that Dementia Forward’s CEO Jill Quinn was awarded an MBE for services to dementia in the New Year Honours List 2023. Jill founded Dementia Forward with six equally passionate and dedicated colleagues in 2012, and has driven the charity ever since, taking it from supporting 200 people in the first year to having supported over 15,000 people over the last decade. Chris Lees, our Chair of Trustees, puts it perfectly when he says, ‘we are so lucky to have Jill at the helm!’. Jill herself says she is ‘delighted to receive the MBE as it acknowledges the huge effort from all involved with the work of DF and further encourages the future plans we have for supporting people living with dementia across North Yorkshire’.
