George Armitage House – your local dementia hub

Our Dementia Hub

George Armitage House is a former Methodist Chapel which has been converted into a dementia-friendly hub thanks to a generous donation from the George Armitage Trust. We offer a full programme of wellbeing activities for people living with dementia, their carers and families:

Monday, Tuesday, Thursday – Day Hub Club.  A unique day opportunity for people living with dementia. Promoting independence, choice and wellbeing, the Day Clubs offer meaningful activities and support people to maintain their hobbies and interests in a small close-knit group. Experience, friendship, care and support, whilst enjoying music, games, gardening and walking in a safe, stimulating and welcoming environment.

We can provide transport to and from our Day Hub Clubs, so please contact us if you would like to know more.
Booking is essential and places are limited, so please get in touch.

Wednesday – the hub is used by our Younger People’s Day Service.

Friday Community Day – Open Doors! Community Coffee Morning, 10am-12pm every week. An opportunity to bring friends and family to our hub and to enjoy homemade cakes, plenty of tea and coffee and good company. Plus regular speakers and guest performers.

Please keep an eye out for our one-off events and social activities, regularly updated on Facebook and Instagram.

If you would like to know more about what is on offer, please get in touch, or come along to one of our coffee mornings.
